The Center for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro (CIN-CG) is a foundation dedicated to investigative journalism of public interest, dealing with and promoting investigative journalism of public interest, which is in accordance with internationally recognized professional standards.

The main goal of CIN-CG is to provide information that is otherwise hidden from the public, so that citizens can react and make decisions that are based on credible information.

The Center for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro will not take political, religious or ideological positions.

Organizational goals

Our internal goals are:

• Promotion of independent, responsible and professional journalism;
• Promotion and encouragement of the most effective methods in investigative journalism and computer reporting, as well as the introduction and observance of high and internationally recognized journalistic standards;
• Creation and publication of investigative journalist content on the website www.cin-cg.me, as well as in local and international media;
• Providing funds and creating conditions for the networking of investigative journalists in Montenegro and abroad;
• Training of local journalists and editors in practical investigative journalism and editing;
• Organization and assistance in the organization of local, regional and international conferences and workshops;
• Provide an opportunity for journalists and other people to use their knowledge in investigative journalism techniques to make important topics accessible to the public;
• Cooperation with similar organizations, media and other media and news organizations in the region and beyond
• Cooperation with other organizations and NGOs in the country and abroad.

Our long-term external goals are:

• To contribute to the presence and progress of independent journalism in Montenegro;
• Identify problems in Montenegro and offer solutions;
• Educate citizens about the importance of professional and responsible journalism;
• Contribute to public dialogue and social action through the publication of fair, balanced and honest research on topics of public interest in Montenegro and the region, regardless of ownership or political interests
• Support and promotion of efforts to ensure free access to public documents and information in every country
